When you hold a grudge, you want someone else’s sorrow to reflect your level of hurt but the two rarely meet.

Pretending not to be hurt isn't healing. If you want to HEAL from it, you have to DEAL with it.

You are not a victim. No matter what you have been through, you're still here. You may have been challenged, hurt, betrayed, beaten, and discouraged, but nothing has defeated you. You are still here! You have been delayed but not denied. You are not a victim, you are a victor. You have a history of victory.

It's sad... Some people are damaged. And damaged people damage people. They've lost belief in themselves and their projections will convince you to doubt yourself too. Help them if you can... If they want to be helped. If not, listen closely when I tell you to GET THE F*** OUT OF THERE!

The knives of betrayal and drama cut deep and hurt… but they also trim away the nonsense and reveal your true friends.

You can't force someone to care... You can only come to the realization that if you stay, they'll keep hurting you. I wish you the wisdom and courage to walk away and begin the healing process.

It took me a long time and a lot of heartache to realize that just because you love someone doesn’t mean they deserve it.

Sometimes we need someone to just listen. Not to try and fix anything or offer alternatives, but to just be there… to listen. An ear that listens can be medicine for a heart that hurts.

I feel like when I give trust that isn't earned, I receive hurt that isn't deserved.
