Just because I accepted it, doesn't mean it doesn't make me sad. And just because I'm sad, doesn't mean I won't heal and move on. This process of emotional mending takes perspective and natural time... my time... not the time you tell me it should.

Why do we place so much weight on being desired? Desire requires the least of our primal abilities. Think of the ebb and flow of all the things we desire. I want to be respected, appreciated, understood, and valued. That requires depth. That requires perspective. That requires conscious engagement. That requires strength.

They were not more magical than you; they were just less distracted by nonsense. Decide on the life you want and focus on the people and actions that help you build it. Distractions don’t get us anywhere…they produce motion, but not progress. Let go of the distracting nonsense and watch the magic in your life flow.

I don't know what's out there or how the Universe works... I can barely understand my phone. But I love sitting in wonder with you and watching your eyes come alive when you tell me what you think it is. Yes... That... Those moments... You are my Universe.

Sometimes you miss the person you thought they were. So basically, sometimes you miss your delusions.

Emotional self-defense is an act of WISDOM. Building personal boundaries is an act of STRENGTH. Anyone who tells you differently is often the reason we need both.

I gave you more than anyone gave you... and I had less to give. I'll never forget the pain I felt when you betrayed me anyway. You lost that day... even though I was the one heartbroken... you lost. Life will reveal to you what you had in me... what you threw away. And you'll search for me in everyone you meet and I won't be found.

A quiet cozy night... Just us... I wish I knew then, but I'm grateful I know now... It's simply everything in life.

Intimacy, respect, passion, communication... and endless laughter. You and me on our personal journeys... while also entwined in the "us". That's a life and soul-nourishing relationship.
