Police officers are well known for their aggressive behaviors, search "Police Officer Angry Aggression Theory". I can speak from personal experience that they do cover up for each other and target individuals that they have a vendetta on. Police Internal Affairs is just an extension of the cover up machine, they uphold very few complaints.

Police internal affairs are in the business of protecting corrupt and incompetent police officers from prosecution due to the extensive range of laws that they have blatantly broken.

The police policing themselves does not work.

Complaining to police internal affairs does not work.

The most dangerous thing in life is an incompetent that has been given a gun and a law enforcement badge.

Most USA citizens never realize that the systems of public protection are essentially useless until they try to use them. At that point they learn the hard way that government agencies like OSHA, FCC, FDA, police internal affairs, disability, and the like do not work for them.

Police assassinations of innocent people usually follow this routine: 1. Police officer assassinates unarmed member of the public. 2. The victims reputation is publicly trashed by the police. 3. The Internal Affairs investigation is rigged from the outset to protect the murderer. 4. Murderer is off work on full pay during the rigged investigation. 5. Murderer returns to work.

Until the police internal affairs system starts prosecuting and firing a substantial number of corrupt and incompetent police officers, I will not be lighting it up blue!

While police internal affairs is allowed to protect corrupt police officers that engage in unethical behaviors, illegal activities or murder, there will always be a genuine mistrust by the common people.
