High altitude professional astronomy is lost in the fog of intellectual greed.

Researching the toxicity of high altitude astronomy led me to the conclude that it is primarily driven by astronomical greed.

One of the nice features of working the astronomy night shift atop Mauna Kea was that I would get to watch the beautiful Hawaiian sunset daily. I was later to realize that watching sunsets at 13,796 feet was undesirable for the biological health of sea level adapted humans.

When I was growing up, I thought it would be really cool to work at an astronomical observatory. I accomplished that ambition as an adult and worked at the world’s premier astronomical facilities. Unfortunately, my ambitions created the nightmare of ill health and disability. I now campaign for the closure of known biologically toxic astronomical facilities.

Now is the time to end the Mauna Kea Observatories (MKO) reign of biological terror on their unsuspecting summit workers health.

During my time in high altitude astronomy, I became aware of workers having gender issues. Many years later I discovered that sex hormones were affected by high altitude exposures.
