Creativity is a flame that lights up and ignites the senses

Music teaches us about lyricism in writing, a delicate turn of phrase, selectiveness with words, rhythmic passages. Most of all, music, like good writing, touches our emotions with cadences that slip in like a subtle visitor, familiar and known before.

I don't like books which give me the answers. I love books that give me the questions

Writing "Snugs the Snow Bear" was an exhilerating walk on a beach - I stopped now and then to study the rock pools, put my hand to my forehead, to gaze over the vast ocean, and the tide danced; played music at my feet, turned over precious shells and stones, returned them to me, polished. I picked one, held it to my ear. The tide rushed in, ran over my naked feet, and I was home.

Writing which flows is more like play than work!

Writing a book is a Performance Art. The reader opens the book - the curtain. The characters show forth the story. The writer bows, and makes his exit. The reader remembers the performance. And his emotional response is locked in memory. In good books, this memory may last forever. The reader is transformed.
