There is no better time than now, this very Christmas season, for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the principles taught by Jesus Christ. It is the time to love the Lord, our God, with all our heart – and our neighbors as ourselves. It is well to remember that he who gives money gives much; he who gives time gives more; but he who gives of himself gives all.

He who gives money gives some, he who gives time gives more, and he who gives of himself gives all.

Vice never leads to virtue. Hate never promotes love. Cowardice never gives courage. Doubt never inspires faith.

Do not yield to Satan's enticements; rather, stand firm for truth. The unsatisfied yearnings of the soul will not be met by a never-ending quest for joy amidst the thrills of sensation and vice. May we give as the Savior gave. To give of oneself is a holy gift. We give as a remembrance of all the Savior has given.

Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: ‘I know that my Redeemer lives!’

As we attend the temple, there can come to us a dimension of spirituality and a feeling of peace which will transcend any other feeling which could come into the human heart. We will grasp the true meaning of the words of the Savior when He said: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. ... Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Do we give thanks to God 'for his unspeakable gift' and His rich blessings so abundantly bestowed upon us?
