Calling a dog lion is a misnomer infused with confusion and trouble. A household name for dog is sufficient. If a lion should roar, all will stampede for safety, including the dog.

Having to fight viciously, and most times at the risk of its life before each meal detracts from the lion being King.

The roar of a lion projects a jittery wave of terror that no mortal wants to mess with. It even brings boisterous insanity to instant attention; to attract a lion’s attention is to put one’s head in a lion’s mouth.

Lion may be admired for courage, strength and tenacity but its life is a living death. Once dispossessed of a pride or injured, it dies very miserably. That a lion, of all its charisma can die so wretchedly emphasizes the fact that death is a great leveler.

To rely on luck and confront a lion is a suicide mission. You have to be a ‘lion’ to combat a lion. Even a lion suffering from diarrhea and anorexia is still a formidable opponent.

Certain activities do not require a repeat to be titled accordingly. You don’t have to marry twice to answer husband or wife. Similarly killing one lion entitles one to be titled ‘Lion Slayer’.

The way some people seek title is baffling. They are willing to feed their own to the lion to achieve it. Even those who cannot kill a rat want to answer, the Lion Slayer 1 of world people.
