The tongue is small and frail but it can heal or kill. The tongue sets whole nations ablaze but it is also with the same tongue that warring nations convene at a peace conference. Why didn’t they talk peace ab-initio and avoid bloodshed?

The tongue can be a powerful deflector of aggression. The men who came to arrest Jesus were arrested by the winsome words churning out from his silver tongue. “Never has another man spoken like this”, was their response for returning without him.

Finding your tongue to speak calmly under provocation can be tongue twisting. It’s still possible though, to supply a mild reply that complies with restraint. There is maturity in getting your tongue around to speak peacefully.

If humans can have a sweet and smooth tongue like that of a snail, ‘bundles’ and ‘bunches’ of troubles will either ‘evaporate’ or ‘coagulate’.

Snail is slow, smooth and succulent but vulnerable. With a wet and luscious tongue, it maneuvers its way across thorns and thistles without harm.
