When he sacrifices himself man for a moment is greater than God, for how can God, infinite and omnipotent, sacrifice himself?

He could breathe more freely in a lighter air. He was responsible only to himself for the things he did. Freedom! He was his own master at last. From old habit, unconsciously he thanked God that he no longer believed in Him.

He was thankful not to have to believe in God, for then such a condition of things would be intolerable; one could reconcile oneself to existence only because it was meaningless.(the whole world was like a sick-house, and there was no rhyme or reason in it)

A God that can be understood is no God. Who can explain the Infinite in words?

The Almighty can hardly be such a fool as the churches make out.
