Once we’ve had time for reflection, instinct leads to insight. Insight tells us more than that which is visible on the surface. It is complex.

Insight requires a healthy combination of: • genuine curiosity, • interest, • openness,• and a belief that it is always there for the taking.

Relaxing attracts insight. Plus, it is good for our well-being. It replenishes our energies and refreshes our mind so that we can be more receptive.

Even a few minutes in an unfocused state of mind are powerful enough to invite insight to reveal itself.

Unlike instinct, which we’ve already defined as hardwired and requiring little or no thought, insight is formed. There are two primary keys to insight:(1) time and a quiet mind, and(2) the ability to unfocus on the problem.

Unfocusing on the problem gives us relief, freedom from pressure and stress, and time to allow thoughts, ideas and experiences to sink in.
