Anxiety is such a useless sentiment. It does not divert impending disasters nor does it help in preparing for them. And it is by no means an accurate portent of doom for more often than not, it signifies nothing. Anxiety simply stretches out the torment so that one feels it long before the pain strikes and ensures that if those fears prove unfounded, the afflicted person suffers nonetheless.
