There was a group of young ladies who came to me during the basketball season and expressed interest in the track team. So I told them to get me some other signatures of students interested, and they came back with a pretty substantial list. I thought there was a legitimate interest there and that we should offer it to the kids. I took it to the administration and it kind of evolved from that.
