I haven't made up my mind but I see at least two benefits. The township would get a nest egg that could be invested and help us avoid tax increases and maybe help with things like building a new senior citizens center. Also, selling the system to a larger entity allows spreading out the cost of improvements to the system over a larger customer base.

I don't see this as being in the taxpayer's interest -- going to higher hourly rates and people who are going to be billing us for more hours.
