To love is to risk.  To not love is also to risk.  Yet when it comes to love, the greatest risk is incurred when we give risk that much power.

Vulnerability creates unimaginable space to build each other up, as much as it creates ample room to tear each other down.

Hating is the coward’s way of refusing to be vulnerable.

Why is it that none of the things I construct ever make me feel safe? The answer lies in the fact that safety can’t be created. It can only be found. And the only thing I've found that’s never been created is God.

Maybe the thought of being found is far more terrifying than the reality of being lost. Therefore, we are quite adept at saying that we want the former, when in fact we’ve repeatedly chosen the latter.

To be found is to be exposed. No wonder so many of us are still lost.

To fully love another is to lay bare the breadth of my inadequacies. But to do anything less is to never have loved. And which, we might ask, is the greater risk?
