I am human. Therefore, I will fail you. God is not and will not.

The length of the fall is dictated by how far we had climbed. The outcome of the fall is dictated by whether we’re holding on to that which we’re climbing, or we’re letting God hold onto us.

I often think myself to be so ingenious that I don’t even realize that my own plans may actually be my own undoing. Therefore, I might be wise to realize that God’s plans undo what I’ve done that’s undoing me.

In many instances, the failures of my greatest schemes ultimately lead to the fulfillment of my greatest successes. Therefore, God will allow our most cherished dreams to perish so that we might turn and seek out His most cherished plans.

It’s not about crafting a ‘failed’ solution. It’s about ‘failing’ to stop crafting ‘failed’ solutions. Yet, such is the destiny of those who have yet to understand that a solution that does not include God solves nothing other than solving nothing. And that is no solution.

When I surrender to God all of the things in my life that I have surrendered to, I have surrendered to ever having to surrender again.

Mankind is on a mission to free itself from a God whose mission is to free us from ourselves. And if our mission prevails, we won’t.

It comes down to 'fear' and 'faith'. 'Fear' of what stands in front of me. 'Faith' in believing that the resources I possess can handle what stands in front of me. If I stop at the former, I will change nothing. If I embrace the latter, I can change everything.

It‘s utterly astounding that every time I get knocked down God’s mercy compassionately raises me to my feet; His grace thoroughly brushes off every trace of assorted filth I accumulated in the fall, His word precisely recalibrates my direction to insure the success of a journey resumed, and once all of that is completed He gently leans over and whispers, “How about another run?
