Let today mark a new beginning for you. Give yourself permission to say NO without feeling guilty, mean, or selfish. Anybody who gets upset and/or expects you to say YES all of the time clearly doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Always remember: You have a right to say NO without having to explain yourself. Be at peace with your decisions.

Until YOU get enough of what you’re going through, no matter what advice a person gives you, you’ll continue to go through the same thing. When you get the courage to stop making excuses for them, and stop excusing their behavior, then you’ll be able to break free from that unhealthy situation. You’ve got to be willing to face YOUR truth in order to move on and be at peace. You matter!

Ladies! I encourage you NOT to be so easily flattered by what a man has. Be flattered by his strength, courage, integrity, and character as a man. Be impressed by his ability to be honest, faithful, loving, and respectful to you. Be impressed because he can communicate and openly express his feelings. Be impressed because he’s got confidence, direction, and purpose in his life. Be impressed because he’s a quality man, NOT a fine man. Real Talk!

When a relationship is truly meant to be, you won’t have to force it, rush it, or manipulate it.

Your heart might be telling you YES, but if you’re willing to be honest with yourself, your mind is telling you NO. I encourage you to play the tape all the way through. Don’t dwell, but remember the hurt. Remember the pain. Remember the anger and confusion that you felt. Remember ALL of the lies and broken promises… Remember! Some relationships just aren’t meant to be. Stop trying to force something that’s robbing you of your happiness, smile, and inner peace. You matter!
