Ego means to live in an imaginary form (illusionary form) outside of one’s own real Self.

One type of happiness comes from myness and the other type comes from the egoism. They are both mortal happiness & happiness of the original thing (eternal element, the Pure Soul) is immortal.

Women have an encircling wall of deceit around them; therefore, they are not aware of deception, it is their natural attribute. Men have the entanglement of egoism; egoism does not let them see that entanglement. After attaining the Knowledge of the Self, men have to keep ‘seeing’ the egoism and the women have to keep seeing the deceit.

Egoism is harmful, the moment one realizes that then everything will become straightforward. The ego is not worth protecting.

If you are with egoism then you are the doer and if you are egoless, then vyavasthit (scientific circumstantial evidence) is the doer. One (The Self) is not the doer at all.

The mind, intellect and chit are all carrying out their own functions. It is our interference in that. 'Our' does not mean of the Self. There is a wedge of ‘I’ in between these two. Why is egoism present? It is due to the rising of a ‘wrong belief’. 

Where there is no solution, there One should keep Seeing-Knowing. If one has not attained Atmagnan (Knowledge of the Self), even then he can keep seeing through indriya gnan (knowledge attained through the medium of the sense organs). However, there is a difference between seeing through indriya gnan and Seeing through the Knowledge of the Self. In seeing through indriya gnan, egoism is present!

The mind performs its function, the intellect performs its function, the ego performs its function; they are all intents of the non-Self, they are not intents of the Self (Atmabhaav). To See and Know the intents of the non-Self is in fact Atmabhaav (the sense as the Self). There are unlimited intents of the non-Self. The world is trapped in the intents of the non-Self indeed.

To not do egoism in that which is mandatory is known as Purusharth (real spiritual effort to progress as the Self).
