The goal is to get to yes. It's to get to yes on a gas pipeline.

I know of no decision to use the jet in any way differently than the usage of the King Air.

We're very confident in the process that we've been following. This is a good example of the kinds of delays and distractions that can slow down this process and keep the contract getting to the Legislature and the public.

The governor is aware of the situation and that the transition period can be challenging.

The governor's been concerned about the ability to recruit and retain competent, qualified and excellent commissioners.

He continues to stand behind that as an appropriate balance between incentives for exploration and development and the tax rate.

He is certainly willing to look at new solutions.

Former Gov. Knowles threw out a lot of easy cliches, and is very good at delivering them, but cliches aren't going to get Alaskans a gas pipeline.

Ultimately the bill the governor puts forward is the one he believes is in the best interests of the state.
