Bill Bright
At Northeastern State University and later at Fuller Theological Seminary, Bill Bright received the education that underpinned a career spent working as an evangelist, theologian, and writer.
Born on October 19, 1921, in Coweta, Bright was a citizen of the United States who worked across three vocations — evangelism, theological inquiry, and writing — throughout his life. His studies at two distinct institutions, one a state university and the other a seminary, marked the formal stages of his preparation for that work. He wrote in the English language, and his output as a writer accumulated alongside his activities as an evangelist and theologian.
The Library of Congress catalogued his written work under the authorized label "Bright, Bill," a designation that reflects the institutional recognition accorded to his contributions as a writer. Bright died on July 19, 2003, in Orlando, having been born eighty-one years earlier in Coweta.
