I really like the two receivers right now, Brown and (Marcus) Smith. I'm very excited about them. There's some other great talent out there, and it's just a matter of time now to see how it develops.

I learned the names of the coaches and all the support staff. They're obviously real important to my success. There are a lot of new faces I have to get to know.

I'm excited to be in Albuquerque and coaching at the University of New Mexico. I look forward to working with my good friend, Rocky Long, whom I trust and respect immensely. I'm anxious to get back into coaching and working with the kids.

It's not easy adjusting from running back to wide receiver. There are a lot of different skills you have to develop. The good news is that I think Smith has gotten the hang of it and can do tremendous things for us. He's got great speed, and I plan to take advantage of it.

I spent four hours in an orientation learning about health and dental benefits. And I've spent a lot of time learning how the office works. . . . I still need to get my voice mail set.

Most of all, I love their energy level. They've got a long way to go, but they're excited and that's a great start.

I was the head coach and he was the assistant. That's not a concern. We're both here for the same reason, we want to win football games. I've sat in that chair. I know who's the boss.

I thought there was a lot of enthusiasm and energy. I'm just going to throw a lot of stuff at them, and hopefully after 15 days a lot of it will stick. After the spring practices, we'll re-evaluate them and try to base our offense in the fall on what they do best.
