Bruce Lee
Born at San Francisco Chinese Hospital on November 27, 1940, Bruce Lee spent his life moving between American and Hong Kong Chinese culture, holding citizenship in both the United States and British Hong Kong and working in both English and Yue Chinese.
Lee studied at Seattle Central College and the University of Washington before building a career that stretched across several corners of the entertainment industry. He worked as a martial artist, film and television actor, director, film producer, screenwriter, and stunt coordinator. On the small screen he appeared in The Green Hornet, while his film work included The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon, and Marlowe. He also appeared in Enter the Dragon and the partially completed The Game of Death. The range of roles he took on — performing stunts, coordinating them, writing scripts, and stepping behind the camera to direct — meant he shaped productions from multiple angles rather than simply appearing in front of a lens.
Lee died on July 20, 1973, in Kowloon Tong, at the age of thirty-two. His contributions to film and martial arts were recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and induction into the California Hall of Fame, two honors that mark the lasting institutional recognition his work has received.
Quotes by Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee's insights on:

An instructor should exemplify the things he seeks to teach. It will be of great advantage if you yourself can do all you ask of your students and more.

As an instructor, you must be able to distinguish between poor performance caused by lack of ability or aptitude on the part of the student and poor performance caused by lack of effort. You should treat the first with patience and the latter with firmness. You must never apply sarcasm and ridicule.

Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

If you think a thing is impossible, you'll make it impossible. Pessimism blunts the tools you need to succeed.

Always be yourself, express yourself have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.
