I had no doubt that would be the motivating factor.

It was just about who was going to stop who, and who was going to answer who. I think that we're the best two teams in the region. It's just bad that we both won't get to go to the state tournament.

They just played a great basketball game. I feel sorry for them because it was one of those games where you hate that someone has to lose.

We didn't know what to expect tonight, but we played well.

We definitely talked about crashing the offensive glass. We felt like that was something that we could beat them on.

We played them in the summer or fall (league) and only beat them by a point or two. Then we saw they played Hampton tough the other night (in a Peninsula District tournament semifinal), and we had some worries.

She's probably the only kid I've ever had that didn't have any type of basketball skills at all. But she's just got that mentality that if I can't be the best I'm going to try so that I can be the best.
