We have a big old wooden box in the living room that holds magazines. When it's full, we have to get some out of there to make room for more.

We give ourselves limits on everything but paper. Paper coming in, it never stops. Everybody in the house generates it. The computer generates a lot of paper. It's not supposed to, but it does.

You can get rid of those utility bills. They have no long-term value. As soon as we throw them away, it's a relief.

It depends on how good of a time manager you are to begin with.

People want to see things on tables and hanging up. If things are neatly displayed and easy to see, the chances of selling are much greater.

Work at getting organized like a hobby. Set aside a certain amount of time each day (or whatever time your budget will allow). While it may indeed take a fair amount of time to establish order, once it is achieved, you will save more time than you have ever spent.

Even an organized person has days that aren't efficient and well-managed.

Being organized will give you more free time, contribute to a cheerful nature, and add to the peace and security of your home.

Decluttering tip: Ask yourself do I need this? How long has it been since I used this? Do I need so many?

Preventive Maintenance: Don't start today by doing yesterday's work.
