Charles City is much improved from the previous years. They gave us some good and close matches and we pulled all of them out except for the number one doubles. That one finished in the cold, wind, and rain.
I have some girls who are going to work hard and figure out what it takes to be good players. They will also be pushing each other as they challenge for spots and that's always exciting because it will make them better players.

To win one match, have another go for a tie and have two others split sets was great for us. I thought that the girls really tried to keep the ball in play against their opponents. They have some things to work on, but they are working hard and will do well in some meets.
She played a very consistent match to win at that spot. In the third set, she was down 0-2 and pulled out the win. She had to figure out a few things and how to play a player who puts a lot of spin on the ball.
