In the past couple of games, it seems like (our infield) is starting to get things going a little better. I think we're going to get better and better. When you get in a big situation like that, with a double play you know you should turn, you just have to let it happen." ()

I'm proud of the guys and the way that battled today. Kane continues to hit the ball and get on base and Tommy (Smith) found a way to get us the lead." ()

It's nice having Brad (Daniel) in the bullpen.. We couldn't have asked him to come in and do a better job." ()

It's become a lot better, it really has. That's a key for us. Our pitching has also come around and it keeps coming around a little more. We keep adding guys to the cycle. If you are going to pitch, then you have to be able to catch the ball. Then you'll have a great chance to win. That's where we're at, and it's good to see our defense come around." ()

It's a big series this weekend, and there are no ifs, ands or buts about it. We can play it off if we want and say whatever. But the bottom line is if we're going to do something this year, and there's still plenty out there to play for and there's a lot that can happen and a lot of season left, this thing is far from being won." This is a weekend where we want to go out and let a couple of guys prove that they can be the guy who can step up into that other starting role for us. We're going to wait with Shawn and Rowdy (until next week). So they are going to get the opportunity and we'll see how guys respond." ()

Brad (Daniel) got the save yesterday (Saturday). And we told him with the start today (Sunday) to go out and give us what you could for as long as he could. And for him to go into the eighth inning and give up only one run was a gutsy, tough performance on his part." ()

We did a good job building an inning. We got some big base hits and putting the ball in play is always big. We didn't strikeout, and we moved runners around the bases." ()
