Lesson 16: There is no shame in failing: it is a natural part of learning and developing. If something does not work out, for whatever reason, try something else instead.

No matter how tired or afraid you are, you have to figure out how to keep going.

When you are living a life of passion and obsession, there are no limits. There are no time clocks or time off, no vacations, no bosses breathing down your neck to perform, because with obsession, there is no boss, there is only you.

In February 2015, Apple’s value exceeded $700 billion, If Wayne had kept his 10% stock until then, it would have been worth approximately $60 billion.

Because the fact is, when you’re discussing passion, you can’t only judge someone on their success, but on their failures as well.

Unfortunately, that’s too rare a commodity. A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.

The point is that when it comes to friendships and mentorships, you give what you get.

Don’t be afraid to make difficult decisions, the ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are usually the ones that do.

The point is to constantly strive to make yourself a better person who cares deeply and passionately about family, friends, work, life and to eventually achieve all of your goals no matter what they are. And by doing this, living for every moment as if it was your last, you will be living the Warren Buffett way.
