I didn't sign a pledge to Wendi Thomas. I took an oath of office, and I have a commitment to the constituents who I serve. That's who I make my pledge to every four years when I've been elected.

This council will operate under the concept that there will be no tax increase this coming fiscal year.

I think we've had a talent vacuum in the administration that has created many of these financial problems. I think the Mayor is putting together a better team that can deal with it.
