I know it's a cliche', but we're taking it one game at a time. We just play on one level all the time and don't get any more excited about one game than another. We just worry about the way we play and what we do.

Once they got the lead we had to come out and guard them and we didn't really want to do that. We were playing man, but we were sagging on the guards. When we had to come out and guard them, they really took care of business.

The big surprise this year has been his defense. He doesn't have the quickest feet in the world, he is not the fastest kid and he doesn't jump very well, but he is always in the right place defensively.

Offensively we wanted to get the ball into the post more in the second half. We saw they were doubling down so we were hoping to kick it back out and get some open looks.

Other coaches have said to me it looks like our offense goes through him most of the time. And it does. At some point he has to touch the ball and every coach knows that. They are coming out to try and stop it, so Tyler has to work especially hard on the offensive end to keep people from stopping him.

I've been here 16 years so I've known him most of his life. Every year I see him in the gym and the first place I ever saw him was in a gym. He is always in a gym and always has been.

We really didn't do anything different defensively in the second quarter. We just went out and started playing much harder man to man defense and weren't giving them the open looks that they were getting in the first quarter and I thought that was the key.

We like for him to start around the block and work his way out. That is what he did in the first half against ROWVA. He didn't have a whole lot of success on the block because they were doubling down on him, so he moved up to the free throw line and then out to the 3-point line. That is something he can do and we feel comfortable with him out there.

We'd like to go undefeated in the conference, win the tournament and win a regional. Those are wonderful goals to have.

I was extremely happy with the guys tonight. That is a really good basketball team to hold to just 30 points. Every goal that we had coming into tonight we were able to meet.
