That match was crucial because we don't know what to expect yet from our freshman at 103 pounds. I wasn't comfortable until that match was won.

Wow. What an unbelievable feeling. We've been pushing the program up the past few years, and tonight we took it to a whole new level. Getting to state is a huge boost for the program and there are so many people responsible, starting with the kids on the mat.

We had a bad seeding meeting and we didn't get help from coaches in our conference. At the end of the day, I wanted them to see why I asked for the seeds I did.

We used that as a lot of motivation. I guess we're not going to get help if we're seen as the team to beat.

I think there's an assumption . . . the education stops when you leave the classroom.
