There’s motion, like taking action or moving forward. There’s evolution-that’s growing or changing with life. And then there’s illumination, which is understanding or knowing.

We didn’t say anything as we ducked though the bushes and when we stood next to the car I could tell he was searching, maybe for the right thing to say. But there wasn’t any right thing.

We walk around carrying invisible weights, and doing our best to look like everything is okay even when it may not be.

Because when these tiny little things are afraid, they shine.

Every choice has the power to affect your life later on in ways you can’t go back and change.

I spent the first few months under the full weight of those regrets, thinking of a thousand different things I would’ve done differently had I known they were going to be the last.

You can’t be sorry for something you had no control over.

But almost moments don’t count, and it all comes down to the choices I could’ve made but didn’t.

It’s too much, this. Life, and love, and how fragile it all is.
