The biggest danger in sailing is not the open ocean. It’s hitting things. So if I have a thousand miles between me and land, a storm doesn’t really upset me. If the boat’s set up right, you get beat up a little bit, but the boat’s going to handle it fine.

I just want to be happy. And I find that people that have the least in life are sometimes the happiest. And I don’t have the least in life. I have enough in life. And I won’t sacrifice my health for that.

The biggest thing I've learned is if you have a dream, you need to live it as soon as you can. We're only here for a short period of time. Don't wait until you can afford it or this or that has happened. Just do it.
