Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao Sr. was born on December 17, 1978, in Kibawe, in the Philippines. A Filipino citizen known by the nickname "PacMan," he was educated at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and worked across several professional fields during his career, including boxing, singing, acting, basketball, and politics. He used Cebuano, Filipino, and English throughout his life.
In boxing, Pacquiao holds the distinction of being the only eight-division world champion in the history of the sport.
