I had a feeling that it would come down to No. 1 singles. I'm very proud of Chelsea for putting us into the position to still have a chance to win the match. She's a freshman going against the conference player of the year. It's very difficult to lose like that, but our girls showed a lot of heart.

I had three girls who stepped up and did more than they've done all year.

It's very rare that you see a guy at No. 5 or No. 6 (singles) being named conference Player of the Week, so it's a nice surprise. I'm very proud of Jesper.

It was not a surprising result. They're very talented and we are kind of ground down. We're on the road and we've played seven matches in six days. We came out a little flat. We couldn't push the button and put it in overdrive.

It's going to be a big week for both of our tennis programs.

A win at No. 1 doubles may have helped stem their confidence some, but we won't know if that would have made a difference in the match. They are very talented at the top three spots and that was tough to overcome when they can play comfortably with a 3-0 cushion.
