I'm ecstatic for him. He's a great kid and a hard worker. He's deserves it. He's going to be tough to replace. He was my coach on the floor.

Our district is crazy. I've never seen anything like this year in my 18 years. All eight teams are capable of getting the number one seed. This victory will certainly help us get closer to that.

It was uncharacteristic of our guards to turn it over like we did. But you have to credit them (Lake Region). They have some great athletes.

We shot well and stepped up defensively quite a bit. I just hope we have some energy left for tomorrow night.

We missed a lot of easy shots in the first half. So many times we got to the basket but didn't finish. In the second half, we stepped up our defense, and the shots fell.

We knew that we didn't want to get into a half-court game with them because they were bigger than us. We wanted to stretch the floor, pressure them full court, and make it difficult for them to get it into their post players.

We talked a lot about it. Wharton ended our streak of 62 games against Hillsborough teams, but they were not ending this streak.
