A Romany woman is subject to discrimination on three counts - first as a woman, then as a member of the Romany community, that is very negatively viewed in the Czech Republic, and also within her own, patriarchal community.

The statement will sum up all problems that Romany women and mothers suffer from and that they want to solve.

We want the state to take over this initiative.

We want respect. We don't feel equal citizens of the Czech Republic. We don't feel free. We fear for our children.
