He played pretty well tonight. A lot of times he scores a quiet 31, but I didn't think so tonight. We looked out of sorts and every time we needed a basket he would come through. That 3 he hit just before halftime was big. We were stuck on 23 for like four minutes.

Before his last game, he was shooting 64 percent from the floor. He's learning to shoot around the basket. He averages 13 to 15 shots a game and we call a couple plays for him, but he's mostly getting points out of our motion offense.

Early on, our defense was a little suspect. But in the second half, they were hitting some pretty tough shots.

Cook is one of our better shooters and he was hitting with a 6-8 guy in his face.

At no point were we in the game. They were undermanned and I don't know if that contributed to us thinking we could just show up and win, but we did not show up in any phase of the game.

We had some decent scoring opportunities, but we didn't get as many shots as we would have liked. They're a very good team.

We're out to gain a little bit of respect. To beat a team from a good conference like this (the Greater Metro) helps. It's a nice confidence builder for us.

Some of our other scorers' shots weren't dropping. We were a little bit off.

Other than a couple of concentration lapses at the end of each quarter, it was a really nice game for us defensively. This was a good win for us.

He's a typical gym rat. After I send everybody home, he stays and shoots jumper after jumper and free throws. He stays 20 or 30 minutes after every practice and I have to tell him to go home. A couple of times, I gave the guys the day off, but he's the first guy to ask if he can come in and shoot.
