I felt really good and I don't understand all the walks. I felt like I was throwing as well as I have all year, but I had problems throwing strikes.

He's always used that number. He came to me and asked, and I said, 'Yeah.' The number is not special to me. Fifty-nine is the number I first wore in the big leagues, so it was no problem.

He's such a tough guy in pitching. We're not thinking about winning against Roger Clemens, we were thinking about just seeing him, that it's maybe the last game - and that we won.

But I'm trying not to think about it too much -- that's what happened last year. I was thinking too much. My mind was lost. I'm trying to focus now on the next game.

But I feel great. My arm feels strong. I'm trying to think only about making the team and being right for the season. Last year when I came here I hurt my shoulder because my arm wasn't stronger.

I know Carpenter is a good pitcher. I was trying to go deep into the game, hold them and try to help the team.

I'm bigger and stronger. Last year, I was just playing catch and running a little bit. This winter, I started pitching in December.

I'm happy for that opportunity, and I'm going to try to do my best, obviously. I was a little bit surprised. Not surprised because you want to be on the team, and I knew I was. But I thought there were other guys.

I had a no-hitter, that is why I was so surprised. I want to show what I can do. There's no way I would ever throw at anybody intentionally.

The fastball is coming, but I'm not thinking about the fastball right now. I'm thinking about the game, and the fastball is going to come.
