Path's real name is Mikky Ekko. He was born in Louisiana but raised in New Orleans by his mother after she moved the family there following Hurricane Katrina.
Growing up, Path attended a Catholic school where he discovered his passion for music. He began writing songs and performing at local events before joining a band as a teenager.
Major Accomplishments
Path's breakthrough came when his song "Stay" was featured on Rihanna's 2013 album Unapologetic. The song peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned Ekko two Grammy nominations for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
In addition to working with top artists, Path has also released his own music, including the EPs Echo (2013) and Beneath Your Beautiful (2014).
