Russell T Davies was born in Swansea in 1963, a citizen of the United Kingdom whose working life has been conducted in both Welsh and English. He attended Olchfa School before going on to Worcester College, and his career has unfolded primarily within British television.

Davies works as a screenwriter, television writer, film screenwriter, and science fiction writer, and has also taken on the roles of producer and executive producer across a range of productions.
