Satish Chandra Kaushik was an Indian actor, film producer, screenwriter, and director working primarily in the Hindi language.
Born on 13 April 1956 in Mahendragarh, Kaushik pursued an extensive formal education in the arts. He studied at Kirori Mal College and the University of Delhi before continuing his training at two of India's most prominent institutions for the performing arts: the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India. This rigorous academic grounding prepared him for a career that spanned multiple disciplines within the Hindi-language film industry.
Across his professional life, Kaushik worked as an actor, took on responsibilities as a film producer, contributed as a screenwriter, and directed films of his own.
