(The double play) happened because of a mistake, but that's still never giving up and always making sure the play is over and making the play if its there.

(The home runs) kind of opened the door a little bit more for us, and that's what we want. We want to always make sure we have the opportunity to win the game. I think we should have hit a little bit better along the way, we just didn't.

I'm very happy. Any time that we're able to hit the ball and score some runs, it frees up so many things and takes the pressure off.

After they got up early, we definitely didn't quit. We kept battling back, and we were able to get some runs later.

It was great to be at home. We had a nice crowd, and that's nice. I was proud of our performance today.

It wasn't pretty, but at least we got it done, and I'm happy about that.

That's just something we need to work on. We talked about it at practice (Tuesday) and we need to make sure that we're getting better.

Any win in our conference is important because it's such a great conference. People aren't necessarily expecting us to win; we think we can, but not everybody else does.

Sometimes my pitching coach (Gary Hines) and myself are on different pages. He was a pitcher, so he likes to let them work through a few more things than I probably do. She threw really well, especially after giving up some early runs.

We should have a lot of success this weekend. That's what I expect.
