Seorang bijak pernah menceritakan pada diriku kisah mengenai seorang bocah yang berusaha memasukkan sebuah labu besar ke dalam mulut sebuah kendi hingga kemudian kendi itupun pecah. Bertahun-tahun kemudian barulah aku menangkap makna kisah itu pada diri seorang pemalas pesimistis yang mengharap hidupnya lebih berharga dan bahagia tanpa pernah berupaya untuk mengubah dirinya.

Many people feel they don’t have enough love. Feel unloved. Many people do not understand that the essence of love is giving and not demanding.

In life, I believe there are no coincidences. Everything happens for one reason or more. Everyone headed for their respective destiny. On what they choose. On what they do. Often not what they want. That’s motive what moves us to discover the essence of life. To find the trully truth. The truth that moves life.

How difficult people appreciate the virtues of others. On the contrary how easily people are infected by the virus of hatred.

I won’t be understood if I don’t have a goal. Has no motive. Not to expose the truth. Not also to be judged. But from the beginning I knew and realized, I would not be easy to understand.

When I write, I don’t pretend to expose the truth. If there is truth, it is clearly not from me. I don’t know where it came from. We never know how that truth has moved everything. What we know, our hearts are moved, touched by emotion, maybe sad, maybe also beautiful.

Uang tak pernah seburuk yang kita kira. Ia merupakan sumber berkat di tangan seorang penderma yang tulus, dan batu pengasah agar orang menjadi arif. Kebijaksanaan seseorang tidak bergantung pada seberapa banyak yang mungkin ia dapatkan, melainkan pada seberapa banyak yang mungkin ia berikan.

Apa yang membuat manusia merasa terkucil, bukanlah penerimaan atau penolakan dunia melainkan karena kekerdilan jiwanya sendiri.

Apalah arti imanmu, kalau engkau masih mencaci, memaki dan bahkan menghujat keimanan dan keyakinan orang lain.
