I'm very pleased with how we've started the season and how the girls are playing. But our next four games are going to tell us a lot. We're going to run into some very good basketball teams. I think we'll know more about our future by the end of next week. But so far, I couldn't be happier how the girls are playing.

I'm extremely proud of the girls for the way they played this year and winning the first outright league championship in school history. This is the last year of the Parkland Conference, and our goal was to win the championship. I'm extremely proud of every girl on this team.

The thing I noticed about our team was they didn't hang their heads. They were all focused. They knew the game wasn't over.

It was nice to win those first two games against South and Memorial, but to rally back against Eisenhower and then win in overtime, that helped our confidence a lot. We were down the whole game that night. To come back and win that one told me a lot about the character we have this year.

It seemed like we missed a lot of them early. Yeah, if you make those free throws, maybe we're up by 3 or 4 points at halftime instead of being down. We've been hot and cold at free throws all year.

It's great to be going back to the sectional. We've had a very good season so far, but we'd like to keep it going for a while. But once you get to this level, every team is tough. We're going to have to play our best basketball of the year on Friday.

That run right there got us going. The game was close until then. We got the press working and hit some shots. That's what we do. That's how we've played all year.

The nice thing about this team is our depth is so good. There's absolutely no hesitation to go the bench and play all the kids. We've not had this much talent on the same team ever before. It's a nice luxury to have as a coach.

This is a nice win because it puts us up two games over three teams. We've been winning games, but could only get a one-game lead. Now we've got a little cushion. I thought our kids played a pretty good basketball game tonight.

There's no doubt in my mind that winning those two games got us started on the right foot. The Classic 8 Conference is one of the best leagues in the state for girls basketball and all sports. So to get two wins from those two teams helped our conference a lot.
