The first part of the fourth quarter we went through a cold stretch. I'm pleased with our effort. We played hard, especially against a good team.

These kids don't quit. They're real emotional. They felt like they were getting pushed around a lot tonight. They did everything I asked of them.

I don't think we had one guy on the court as big as any of their starters. The kids blocked out and played tough.

The number one thing is we have to shoot the ball well. If we shoot the outside shot well, we're tough. We also have to defend tough inside and block out.

It's tough to win up there. Clear Lake and Lower Lake have small courts. I think all of the Lake County schools are pretty hostile environments. To win three games up there is really good for us.

It really is a tough place to win. It's a small court. Their fans are pretty hostile for being such a small court. We told the kids they were going to make a run at us. That's a good team. (Lower Lake head coach) Marty (Udy) does a good job.

The work they put in over the summer and the spring was great. Those kids never gave up no matter what the score was. You look at the McMullen twins, who are 5-8, and their guarding guys that are 6-4 and 6-6.

We talked about composure and making good decisions. I think the kids did a good job at the end. There were maybe a couple of passes that were questionable. Our style is up-tempo. If we don't take care of the ball, we have trouble scoring.

We outplayed them in every quarter except the first. We just did not shoot well.

We played hard. We shot the ball OK, not great in any game. We played well considering the competition we played.
