Woody Allen
Woody Allen is an American filmmaker, actor, writer, comedian, director, and screenwriter whose career spans eight decades.
Born in The Bronx around late November or early December 1935, Allen attended Midwood High School before going on to New York University. Alongside his work in film and writing, he also plays clarinet.
Among his notable works are Annie Hall, Manhattan, Crimes and Misdemeanors, and Sleeper. His output earned him a substantial collection of major industry honors: four Academy Awards, ten BAFTA Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Grammy Award. In 1997 he received the BAFTA Fellowship.
