The challenge will be to produce large quantities of this glue without it sticking to everything that is used to produce it.

We tried washing the glue off. It didn't work.

The advantage here is that these bacteria live in water and so they bind to all sorts of surfaces in water. This means that this glue is very versatile.

There are obvious applications since this adhesive works on wet surfaces. One possibility would be as a biodegradable surgical adhesive.
