When you inquire 'Who am I?' if you are honest, you'll notice that it takes you right back to silence instantly. The brain doesn't have an answer, so all of a sudden there is silence.

I'm newly widowed, so I've gone from having a life partner, and having another brain to make decisions with, to doing it all on my own and questioning what I'm doing. I have to be a calmer person, because my anger can look pretty terrifying to a young person.

The mere size of the brain has been proved to be no measure of superiority. The woman has greater moral courage than the man; she has also special gifts which enable her to govern in moments of danger and crisis. If necessary she can become a warrior.

It's difficult to overcome what you're getting beamed into your brain by the television every day. The worthlessness of journalism today is just making the country confused and bewildered and lost.

I think as they all get a little more comfortable, I think they'll all start picking my brain a bit. I'm open to all that.

At our school, we deal with kids who have brain injuries, strokes, cerebral palsy, things like that. I'm very familiar with that. So I was thinking of not being able to do what I do. It didn't freak me out. It just made me think: Now you've got to play this card. Now you're going to do what you can, in the time that you have.

As brain functioning becomes more and more integrated, consciousness - the mind - becomes more and more invincible, and then any dictate of the mind is immediately followed by the body.
