It's definitely the first significant snowstorm of the season for the region.

It's still snowing, but not snowing nearly as heavily in New York state as it was yesterday.

They've been getting pounded. They've been very wet this fall. It just happens to be the pattern we're in right now.

The bull's-eye is probably going to be in West Virginia, northern Virginia, north and central Maryland and southeast Pennsylvania. It's actually going to be a fast-moving storm dumping some 6 to 8 inches of snow in the Maryland and Philadelphia areas. There could be a couple of places in West Virginia that get 10 inches.

As has been the case with many of the storms in the region this year, it's going to have high winds and heavy precipitation.

The whole reason for moving (the Boys & Girls Club) to the area was so that our kids could ride their bikes to the club. That's not the case anymore. This just aggravates the situation.

Try to stay indoors in an air-conditioned environment. If you have to be outside, take precautions. Drink a lot of fluids, particularly water.
