I can overcome adversity with God in my life.

I think my mom (Kathy Nguyen) enjoyed it more than I did. It felt so good to know I gave something for my mom and grandmother to be proud of, because growing up I gave them such a hard time. It was great to do something to make them happy, for them to tell their friends. Anything I can do to put a smile on mom's face, I love to do.

If you are not ready and anticipate what's coming, you fall behind a little. I think I picked up a lot later than what they liked and what I liked last year. I started to get comfortable at the end of last year. Coming into this year, I felt really confident.

I hadn't been shooting the ball very well the last couple of games. I've been putting in extra practices. I knew things would turn around. I've been hitting shots in practice.

I have nothing to hide from. Yeah, I messed up. I had a chance to change my life, and I did. I wish I never did what I did. But I felt going in there was the best thing that ever happened to me in every aspect of my life.

I love Utah State and everything, but I'm ready to see what is next for me in life. My situation is a little different than someone that is 21 or 22, so I'm ready to get out there in the real world and start working, start living life.

It's only second nature to be scared when you're in there. Sometimes things can get out of hand and, all of a sudden, you find yourself in the middle of something. There's a lot of fighting. Sometimes you don't know what's going to happen and, all you can do is try to stay away from the trouble. For me, basketball helped.

After graduation I want to offer my services anywhere, to any facility that wants me. I want to help counsel kids. I want to motivate kids. I want to show them, step by step, how they can get a second chance.

I've been talking with that particular section for some time and wanted to do something to be remembered and have fun. ... I told them, if we win on Senior Night and after I slap everyone's hand when the game is over, I would jump in. After the game they were all waving me over, so I ran over and jumped up. They started bringing me up, and I got so high. I was like, 'Bring me back down.' I enjoyed it.
