In the beginning, we had tremendous successes in all types of things. Rushing averages, how many rushing yards given up, how many touchdowns given up. And then we kind of fell. I think we learned that lesson about getting our heads too big.

In the locker room, on the bus, on the plane.

I remember my freshman year ... how emotional the seniors were. Now it's the end of the road for me, and I just want to feel the same way those seniors felt.

I'm basically trying to play as physical as I can . . . trying to make plays, disrupt things. I don't know what stats show so far but I know I'm doing the best I can, no doubt about it. I feel pretty good.

In both games, we did things that were out of character. That was not us.

It just shows a lot about this program and this group of seniors that came through here,

It's a game every kid who plays football dreams about playing in. This is just a dream come true.

This is very preliminary, ... But the basic schematics will give people a sense of what the school will look like.

That's just the sign of a good football team. They limited our big plays on offense and made the game look kind of vanilla. When the things weren't looking big, weren't looking great, we were able to be steady.

The season is not lost. We're still Virginia Tech.
